In the "Air
Family" set of software, REFRIBASE is at a "beginners" level of difficulty,
REFREPAIR (which continues where REFRIBASE leaves off) is at an "intermediate"
level, and REFRIDIAG (which follows on from REFREPAIR) is at a "qualified"
User level.
Using
this comparison, CHILREPAIR, the first program of the "Water Family",
is at an "intermediate" level. However, it is strongly recommended that
you have fully mastered REFREPAIR before getting to grips with CHILREPAIR.
All
questions relative to technology, installation and repairs are dealt with:
the use of new refrigerants, how flow-temperature-pressure vary in hydraulic
systems, psychrometric charts, direct and indirect cooling towers, chilled
water production units, water-cooled condensers, how to install and connect
the various heat exchangers, filters, valves, correct location of safety
and control components, etc.
The
wide diversity of the situations presented means that fast and accurate
diagnostic skills are acquired.
Real-time
auto-correction enables a beginner technician to progress entirely unaided,
ensuring that progress is as rapid as it is spectacular.
If
a User has little or no knowledge of refrigeration systems, it is recommended
that they start by using REFRIBASE and then REFREPAIR before trying to
get to grips with CHILREPAIR.
When
a User obtains a good score using CHILREPAIR, and completes every step
entirely on his own, he should be able to diagnose most of the usual problems
that he is likely to come across in the plant room.
